Electronic access control and time management specialist Bixi Systems AG has been a member of the Securitas Group since 2005 and has now been fully integrated within Securiton AG. The aim is to optimise competitiveness, market performance and product development for the long term. Creating a clear identity under one name is considered the best way of securing this corporate objective. There will be no change to Bixi Systems AG’s locations or workforce.
The Securitas Group has conducted a thorough analysis of the electronic access control systems market. Its findings show that this segment is experiencing aggressive market conditions in the form of intense technology-driven competition and high innovation costs. The Securitas Group has so far operated in this market segment with two companies, Securiton and Bixi Systems.
Fit for the future
Optimal market performance and product development are key to securing competitiveness in the strategic access control systems segment for the long term. The integration of Bixi Systems into the Securiton organisation is aimed at achieving a clear market profile and optimised processes in terms of acquisition, project management and product supply.
Bixi Systems AG is staying at its sites in Mels (head office), Liestal and Lausanne, and its workforce will be fully integrated within the Securiton organisation. Bixi products will be marketed under the Securiton brand. The present contact persons for customers of Bixi Systems will remain unchanged. The Securitas Group is confident that integrating Bixi within Securiton under the same label will help it build a stronger presence in the access control systems market going forward.
