2009 Securiton establishes Securiton DOO Serbia

Securiton is expanding its presence in Eastern Europe. As a result, Securiton doo Serbia was founded last year. For decades, the Serbian market has traditionally been one of the strongest in Europe for Securiton. This success story is to be continued with some well-known customers.

Since the beginning of the 1980s, the former Yugoslavian – and now Serbian – market has traditionally been one of the strongest in Europe for Securiton. The combination of the impressive technology of Securiton products and the exemplary commitment of the local partner have helped to secure a market share of 30%. In the Serbian market, Securiton is the clear number one in fire detection. Even the difficult period of war and civil war in the region was quickly overcome. The introduction of new products such as the SecuriPro alarm management system, the SecuriRAS ASD aspirating smoke detection system and the SecuriSens ADW line-type heat detector quickly helped the company to achieve new growth.

New market presence

The areas of application in the Serbian market are very diverse. The Securiton partner has been able to complete a large number of successful projects in recent years. Customers include well-known companies such as Lafarge, the world’s leading manufacturer of building materials, the steel producer US Steel, as well as all court buildings and power plants in the country.

In order to continue this constantly growing success and to expand Securiton’s position in this important market of the future, the parties involved decided at the beginning of 2008 to create a uniform market presence. In May 2008, the Serbian Securiton partner presented itself for the first time in the unmistakable and typical Securiton look at the Belgrade security trade fair. In doing so, they found the right audience to announce the imminent establishment of Securiton doo Serbia. Later in the year, the agreements were signed and the Securitas Group is looking forward to welcoming its new member and writing the next chapter in its success story.
