It gives me great pleasure to present the first issue of our Wächterzeitung to you, and to take this opportunity to welcome everyone from the Securitas and Securiton family.

When working alone, a guard has little opportunity to get to know their colleagues better. The primary goal of the Wächterzeitung is thus to promote contact among ourselves. The magazine is intended to act as a link between the more than 2,000 guards, assistant guards, technical staff, office workers and retired employees of Securitas and Securiton throughout Switzerland.

Our Wächterzeitung is not a new idea – some of our older colleagues will still remember the “Wächterbeilage” leaflets from Securitas. In addition, the Basel branch has had a flourishing Wächterzeitung since 1955. It is not least due to the success seen in Basel that we are now publishing a Wächterzeitung for the whole of Switzerland. Although the name Wächterzeitung has guards in mind, it is also the newspaper of Securiton and all of its technicians, fitters, mechanics and electricians. As a result, Securiton will also be given the floor here on a regular basis.

The Wächterzeitung will be published every three months in German and French. It will convey the news that affects all of us – both joyful and sad. It should also offer the opportunity to draw attention to some of the special achievements in our company. In addition, it should also feature things that any one of us finds worthy of mention. This means we are reliant on your active cooperation. If the Wächterzeitung is supported by everyone, its success is assured. I now hope that you will enjoy reading it and wish it a successful future.
